15.07 – Introduction Day – Time: 12am – 6pm

Welcome kits, items to be distributed, tour around the site and show the work on final exhibition.

– Students introduce themselves.

– Tour of the site and the facilities.

– Lecture on the program, agenda and outcomes required

– Discuss timing of course

– The final half of the day will be guest lectures from the course tutors from around the world

– The day will end with a full briefing for project and discussion; break into 3 or 4 groups to start design process


16.07 – Boot camp Workshop – Time: 9am – 6pm

Group Workshops on the exploration of ideas, formulate first ideas for project with tutor/ student groups set up to rotate around the studio.


17.07 – Speculation and Exploration – Time: 9am – 6pm

First review of project ideas from individual groups.

Following reviews we will start to investigate the use of material and technology technologies available from using Rhino/Grasshopper to evolve the design to understanding the manufacturing capabilities at hand to build the project


18.07 – Review Day – Time: 9am – 8pm

A day of design reviews to synthesize the ideas into one coherent design proposal. One group will then draw the proposed project, one group will model the proposed project in Rhino/Grasshopper, and one group will model the project in a physical form.

At the end of the day we will have a two-hour design review to confirm the final project proposal.


19.07 – The Build – Time: 10am – 8pm

The day will start with groups being confirmed for tasks moving forward and aligned with tutor groups: –

  1. Digital Group
  2. Build Group
  3. Site Group

The day will end with the project being marked out on the site and the material depot and workshop being set up for production.


20.07 – The Build – Time: 9am – 6pm

Refinement of design, production of elements and build.


21.07 – The Build – Time: 9am – 6pm

Refinement of design, production of elements and build


22.07 – Finalisation – Time: 9am – 9pm

Final push, touch ups on presentation and launching it.


23.07 – Presentation, Event and Feast – Time: 12pm – 5pm and 6pm – 8pm

– Presentation of the final design to a public audience.

– Critics to come along to judge the work.

– Certificate Ceremony

– Feast event in the evening for all students, tutors and critics 6pm – 8pm


24.07 – Video and Photography – Time TBA
